1806 (5 Mar.) entire letter (tear across face panel) carried by favour from Scotland to an Officer in the 93rd Highlanders at Cape Town, marked "pr Adeona" and in red ink "Ship Bay Isle" and showing a fair strike of the oval medallion handstamp; and 1807 (27 May) entire letter (peripheral faults) from Cape Town to Edinburgh, rated "11" (deleted) and "1/5", showing poor to fair strike of medallion handstamp, unclear Ship Letter handstamp and red arrival datestamp (14.11)
