Note: The entire is signed "Gilchrist & Alexander". John Gilchrist arrived in Sydney in 1828. He and his partner, John Alexander, became highly successful immigration experts. Over time, the firm evolved into the shipping firm "Gilchrist Watt & Sanderson".
