Bancroft in Malaya, who died on the railway, with despatch Censor label, marked “OVL V, 28/10”, showing framed “returned in/undelivered/mails from japan” and “undelivered for reason stated/return to sender”, both in violet; and 1944 (15 Nov.) 3d. “prisoner of war post” card (peripheral faults) from London to Signalman Geraerts at Camp No. 1 and later re-addressed to S.S. Indrapoera, London, showing framed “returned in undelivered mails/from territory formerly occupied/by Japanese forces” and “undelivered for reason stated/return to sender”, both in violet. Photo
