1946 (5 June) Japanese Field Postcard from a Japanese soldier in Changi to Japan, bearing Japan 5s. and with arrival postmark of 25th June, the message being written in English. Rare. Photo

Note: This card was sent 10 months after the war had ended by a Japanese national working as “an officer of the Convalescent Home in the Japanese Concentration Camp stationed at Changi in Singapore”. This person was probably a former Japanese soldier now held in the camp as a POW pending repatriation to Japan.
