1942 (Aug.) envelope from India addressed to British Prisoner of War, c/o Prisoner of War Information Bureau, Tokyo, showing framed “returned to sender/language not allowed" in violet and, on reverse, framed “received open and torn/manager/d.l.o. madras". This letter was probably written in Tamil which was not permitted by the Japanese and never left India
