1941 (3 Feb.) 2½d. stationery envelope from Frome addressed to Cape Town and forwarded to Singapore, showing Singapore “passed for transmission” triangular Censor cachet, very fine “Addressee/Deceased/J.E.S.” h.s. and framed “undelivered for reason stated/return to sender” (two strikes, one on reverse), both in violet, and at upper left red ink “Home Depot (Reps), Notts, Regret Death of this man recorded, 10/4/41”.
