1/- dark reddish brown vertical strip of three with margin at foot, imperforate horizontally, fine mint. Seven strips are recorded. BW S16bb; S.G. 148a, £3000+. Photo

Note: The error was first reported in "Australian Stamp Monthly" in October 1936 and listed by Stanley Gibbons in 1950. Of the seven strips of three recorded, only two, including this strip, are in fine condition. All examples show the perfs trimmed on the top stamp.
