Note: This error was first recorded in the "Australian Stamp Journal" in November 1910 and was listed in the Brusden White catalogue in 2004. The current census records that there are twelve examples known, including a vertical strip of six in the H.L. White collection. Of the six examples in private hands, only two are in fine condition, including this stamp. The others are unused or affected by toning.
