5/- reddish purple marginal horizontal pair [9-10], imperforate between and between stamp and right margin, fine unused with large part original gum. Extremely rare and one of the great errors of New South Wales. S.G. 297ca, £9500. Photo

Note: There are eight pairs of this error recorded, including one with the perforations cut off and one in the Royal Collection, plus two blocks of four. Three pairs show the imperforate between stamp and right margin error, of this example is the finest.
