Philip II (King of England)
1555 (12 Feb), letter signed 'Yo el Rey' as King of England to his Chancellor, Francesco Taverna regarding unpaid amounts owing to Stefano Dorio, the Royal Messenger, from his pension granted by Charles V. Document complete with address panel and good wafer seal, some browning and minor tears along the edges to be expected.

Following King Philip's marriage to Mary I, the King could claim the title of King of England as well as the Kingdom of Naples (1554-58). The title would be removed on the death of Mary. It was Philip II who sent the Armada against England in 1588
