1906, original photograph (3x4inches) framed in a sunken mount, signed and dated by JCE Ellehammer (1871 - 1946), a Danish engineer who first constructed a monoplane in 1905 and in 1906 a "semi biplane" in which he made a tethered flight on 12 September 1906. The photograph shows Ellehammer in this biplane and is inscribed and dated by him on this date. Uncommon.
