Postal Instructions
1844 (April) large internal postal instructions document "To All Postmasters", "No. 14" listing from A-Z "Peers Entitled to Receive Petitions Free by Privilege of Parliament, if under the Weight of 32 Ounces". Annotated in pencil next to each name with a number, some with other known names for the said Peer, for example "Wellesley" is pencilled in alongside Wellington and "Dundas alongside Zetland, with same names added later - "Nelson" and "Napier" are late additions in pencil under 'N'. Some staining and tears along folds. A wonderful document.
