1811 (2 March) ALS written as Field Marshal from Castans (?) to Admiral Berkely writing "as there is no Packet on this sail, & it is essential that the Mail must be sent to England tomorrow, I shall be very much obliged to you, if you would make it convenient to send a vessel with it", signed "Wellington". Endorsed "2 March 1811 Lord Wellington to send Vessel with the Mail". A fantastic letter sent from the Peninsular at a pivotal moment.
