1760 (27 Oct.) military appointment given at court at Saville House on vellum appointing "Philip Berry" to be "Adjutant to Our Twenty First Regiment of Dragoons (or Royal Forresters) commanded by ... John Manners". Signed "George R" and countersigned "W Pitt" by William Pitt, 1st Earl of Chatham. Document with usual folds, some minor staining to reverse, full filing endorsement and complete wafer seal. A very early George III signature.
