1679/80 (16 Jan.) document signed "Charles R" at Whitehall enacting the termination of copper two penny and six penny pieces in Scotland and praising General Charles Maitland, Sir James Falconer, Master of the Scottish Mint, and Alexander Maitland for the substitutes for copper coins. Also countersigned "Lauderdale" by John Maitland, 1st Duke of Lauderdale, with a signed note on the reverse by William Paterson.
