Sir Edward Dyer
1604 (24 Nov.) document signed "Edward Dyer" in acknowledgement of Dyer's payment of five pounds as part of a debt of four hundred pounds due to Sir Edward Stanhope. Document is oblong and indented at top with filing endorsement on reverse. Stain to bottom right, otherwise in reasonable condition. Exceptionally rare.

Sir Edward Dyer (1543-1607), known as a preferred courtier to Queen Elizabeth I and a prominent poet as Author of two of the most famous Elizabethan lyrics, 'My Mind to Me a Kingdom is' and 'The Lowest Trees have Tops'.
