1947-48 hand-made paper envelope registered to Gyantse bearing, on the reverse, ½tr. golden yellow (8) in two bottom margin strips of four from the foot of setting 3 sheet (same clichés) and in the same shade, cancelled by bilingual Lhasa postmark. The address translated as sent from a Nepalese merchant Posopo at Manighap, Laden, behind the prayer wheel, to a merchant Dharma Ratan, Gyaling Chokpa, Gyantse; roughly opened at side and a little soiled with some creasing and wrinkling.
