1933 (8 Apr.) envelope to the Indian Air Mail Society bearing India 3p. and ½a. (2) tied by Purnea c.d.s. with The Houston Mt. Everest Expedtn. label tied by a fine strike of the illustrated type XI handstamp in purple. With the subscriber's name written in pencil, the reverse with printed signature of Stephen Smith and part Park Street arrival c.d.s. (10.4). 87 covers were flown. Photo

On 7th April the secretary of the Indian Air Mail Society saw Blacker and Fellows, who consented to carry a souvenir mail on a survey flight over the Himalayas. A fee of one guinea each was charged in aid of charities and 87 coves were carried then posted in Purnea in the normal way
