MG large margins to touched at places, tied by red Maltese Cross cancellation to legal receipt, dated 27 July 1840 from Liverpool to Bradford, re-used to the same recipient, from the same sender and bearing 1841-52 1d. red, Plate 22, FH, margins all round with black Maltese Cross cancellation and with another black Maltese Cross on the 1d. black to denote that it was no longer valid, dated markings on front and reverse; filing folds clear of the adhesives, fine and highly unusual. R.P.S. Certificate (2012) stating ".... 1d. red many have been lifted and re-affixed". Photo
