Charles II (1660-1685), Five-Guineas, 1668 VICESIMO, Elephant below, first laureate head right, pointed truncation, lovelock on shoulder, longer ties, rev. crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, •+• DECVS • ET • TVTAMEN • ANNO • REGNI • VICESIMO, downwards on edge, 41.79g, 6h (Murdoch II, 498; King 91-92; Schneider II, 423/-; MCE 2; Spink 3329), minor rim bruise at reverse 8 o'clock and brighter fields with scattered marks, otherwise residually lustrous in recesses, very fine, the reverse better, the first year and type of issue
