George I (1714-1727), Guinea, 1717, fourth laureate head right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, edge obliquely milled, 8.38g, 6h (Murdoch III, 11[a]; King -; Slaney II, 391; Schneider II, 547; MCE 249; Spink 3631), some faint surface flecking on obverse, and a linear haymark on reverse otherwise a glorious example, much as struck, very rare thus
