George II (1727-60), Five-Guineas, 1729 tertio, East India Company issue, large lettering, laureate head left, e. i. c. below truncation, rev. crowned garnished shield, + decvs • et • tvtamen • anno • regni • tertio • on edge, inverted ns in anno [upwards], 6h (King 161; Schneider II, 556; MCE 279; S.3664), an unfortunate scratch behind head and evidently once lightly wiped on obverse, nevertheless with a trace of original mint lustre with overlying tone, almost extremely fine, the reverse most attractive and virtually mint state, the edge with a sharp profile
