Commonwealth (1649-60), Halfcrowns, contemporary forgeries in base alloys (3), including, 1653 [?], 13.22g, 8h (cf. ESC 28 [431]), chipped with surface stressing, otherwise fair; another, 1653, 11.81g, 10h, scratches and very softly struck, poor; lastly, 1656, 11.18g, 2h, m.m. sun (on obv. only), the last n of england reversed (cf. ESC 49 [437]; cf. N.2722; cf. S.3215), a broad striking but a field find with scrapes and scratches to surface, the reverse practically smooth with trace surface plating, the obverse almost fine (3)
