Henry VI first reign (1422-61), Groat, Rosette-Mascle/Pinecone-Mascle mule, Tower, 3.75g, 2h, m.m. cross patonce/plain cross, rosette stops, mascle after rex, rev. reads mvm for mevm, mascle stop before lon, pinecone stop after posvi and don (Whitton 17/-; Reigate [Brokes Hoard], lot 297, same obverse die; N.1445/1460; S.1858/1874), lightly conserved since discovery, but on full round flan, a really good fine, the die sinker's error unknown to Whitton
