Edward III (1327-77), Noble, fourth coinage, Treaty Period, c. 1361-69, Tower, 6.97g, 11h, annulet before edward, as in gra and aqt barred, double saltire stops, King standing in ship, holding sword and shield, ropes 3/2, quatrefoils 3/3, ornaments -11-11, rev. i.m. cross pattée, reads mediv, a barred in ibat, floriated cross, e at centre of voided trefoil-tipped quatrefoil, crowned leopards in angles, trefoils in spandrels (LAL Group B; Doubleday 217; cf. Schneider I, 86-87; N.1232; S.1503), removed from a mount hence edge damage at 12 o'clock and rims and fields smoothed, otherwise almost fine
