The Victoria Cross Group of six awarded to Chief Boatswain J. Kellaway, Royal Navy has been withdrawn. Please do not submit bids for this lot.
We are pleased to announce that, after assisting Devon & Cornwall Police with their investigations, this Lot will be returned to its rightful owner. We would also like to thank our Vendor for all their assistance during the investigation.

We are delighted to have not only played a part in reuniting these medals with their rightful owner, but to have had the opportunity to undertake biographical research and study into Chief Boatswain Kellaway. Through his exceptional medal group we have been reminded of his great gallantry and heroism during operations in the Sea of Azoff in 1855. The full research article is available via here
