Naval General Service 1915-62, 1 clasp, Persian Gulf 1909-1914 (217256 A. Fisher, A.B., H.M.S. Fox.) good very fine

Commissioned in 1896, HMS Fox saw significant service during her career which included support for the Somaliland Campaign (April 1904), capturing two German merchant ships off Colombo, Ceylon, in August 1914 and subsequently fire support for the abortive landing at Tanga in German East Africa. In 1919 she was part of the Allied intervention in the Russian Civil War, being sold for scrap a year later and broken up in 1923.
