China 1842 (Charles Foscet, H.M.S. Herald.), very fine

Charles Foscet was born at Portsea, Hampshire and enlisted in the Royal Navy aged 18, joining H.M.S. Herald on 1 October 1841 as Boy 1st Class. Having served in China, he was discharged on 22 April 1843. His Medal was sent to Inspector Hawkins of the Whitstable Coast Guard in September 1853; sold with copied details.
