South Africa 1834-53 (Pte. E. Higgins. Cape Mounted Rifles.), extremely fine

Private Edward Higgins is confirmed on the Roll for service in the Third Kaffir War (1850-53), undertaking all his military career with the 2nd C.M.R. As a whole, the Regiment fielded over 900 officers and men during this campaign and saw much hard fighting against the Xhosa.
