Waterloo 1815 (Charles Winch, 1st Batt. 52nd Regt. Foot.), fitted with replacement loop and slotted suspension, contact marks, nearly very fine

Charles Winch served in Captain James McNair's Company and was wounded at Waterloo. An obituary notice was published in respect of Winch in 1845:

'June 15th, at the Infirmary, aged 51, Charles Winch, Sergt of the 52nd Regiment. He served his country in the field of Waterloo and was esteemed a most excellent soldier.'
