Catherine A. Thomas served as an Assistant with the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes in Iraq and on two separate occasion in Afghanistan, which explain the double-issue of the Operational Service Medal. She also worked with 148 Squadron, Royal Logistics Corps at Amesbury; sold with named boxes of issue for all three awards, NAAFI name Badge, access card for RAF Brize Norton, air ticket to Kandahar, besides photographs.
