Albert Mitchell served with the 39th (Berkshire) Company in the Boer War and earned his T.F.E.M. on 1 April 1910 (Army Order 75 refers). He served with the Worcestershire Yeomanry overseas from 24 April 1915 and was discharged with a Silver War Badge. He earned his clasp to the T.F.E.M. in May 1921.
