Since that time Sigmn McKenzie has proven himself to be a most efficient switchboard operator during battle under the most difficult and trying conditions.

During operations the demands on Line Communications have been enormous and the strain on Switchboard Operators was very severe. Sigmn McKenzie by his initiative, perseverance and personality always maintained a very high standard of efficiency and was an excellent example to his colleagues. Despite very long hours his cheerfulness, calmness and keeness to assist the Staff with quick communications contributed very greatly to the smooth functioning of the Headquarters.'
