Goat frontlet or head-plate, 1905.
In silver, struck with the hallmarks for the London assaying year 1905-06 and the maker's mark of Emanuel Emanuel Jnr., a shield-shaped frontlet with a gadrooned and plain border surmounted by the Badge of The Prince of Wales, measuring 203 mm x 102 mm, the front cast and chased in high relief bearing the inscription: THE GIFT OF HIS MAJESTY KING EDWARD VII TO THE 2ND BATTALION ROYAL WELCH FUSILIERS A.D. MCCCCV DUW CADWO Y FRENHINES; attached to a plain back, applied with two loops for the attachment of straps and struck with the maker's name: E & E EMANUEL 3 THE HARD PORTSEA.
