A group of Great War British-manufactured propaganda Iron Crosses (5) blackened iron, about very fine

Produced in Britain during the Great War to mock Germany's award of the Iron Cross for bravery in action; many different styles, designs and patterns were struck which often featured the names of Belgian towns & cities particularly badly affected by bombardment during the opening months of the war.
