Bhutan, Kingdom, Royal Family Order, Grand Cross set of Insignia, by Spink & Son, 5-7 King Street, London, comprising sash Badge, 64mm, silver-gilt and enamel; Star, 83mm, silver-gilt and enamel, maker's cartouche to reverse, nearly extremely fine and a great rarity, with full sash riband and in its fitted case of issue (2)

The Royal Family Order - Dzongkha Druk Thuksey (Son of the Heart of the Thunder Dragon) - was established by Jigme Dorji Wangchuck in 1966. The Star and Badge both feature a left-facing image of the Druk Gyalpo (Dragon King), with the inscription 'Bhutan' in English and Tibetan. The sash Badge is in the form of eight lotus petals, each of which bears a dorjee (thunderbolt) eminating from the portrait.
