Australia, Medal for Service in Radioactive Areas 1952-58 (G. Hobby), good very fine

Geoffrey Reginald Michael Hobby was born at Boscombe, Hampshire on 27 March 1937 and enlisted in the Royal Navy on 5 February 1953, being a Dairy Boy by trade. He served aboard Warrior from 29 November 1956-31 December 1957, during the time of her participation in Operation 'Grapple' - the nuclear testing operations. He subsequently transferred to the Royal Naval Reserve in March 1962, serving until 1967; sold together with his original Certificate of Service.
