Northern Lodge of China, Brothers Badge, by Kenning & Spencer, silver-gilt and enamel, the reverse engraved 'Bro. Lt. Cdr. (E.) R. C. Letchford R.N. (Ret'd)', very fine

Reginald Cecil Letchford was born in Portsmouth on 7 October 1906 and enlisted in the Royal Navy in February 1922. Having risen to become Engine Room Artificer 2nd Class on 1 July 1934, he was commissioned into the Engineering Branch on 1 January 1936. Promoted Lieutenant-Commander on 18 May 1946 he is recorded as having travelled to Hong Kong with his wife and child aboard the P&O Line Canton in October 1955; sold with copied research.
