Medal 1994, 1 clasp, Former Yugoslavia; Iraq 2003-11, no clasp (Lt W R Anderson QARANC); General Service 1962-2007, 1 clasp, Northern Ireland (Capt W R Anderson QARANC); Jubilee 2002; Volunteer Reserves Service Medal, E.II.R. (Capt W R Anderson QARANC), first and last with small trace of adhesive to the reverse, good very fine (5)

William Richard Anderson was born in November 1965 and enlisted in the Royal Army Medical Corps in May 1987 at Newcastle. Transferred to Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps in April 1992, he was commissioned Lieutenant on 25 April 1993 and served in the Former Yugoslavia in early 1996. Having been promoted Captain in February 2003 he served with 208 Field Hospital in Iraq from November 2003-April 2004 and was specially commended by the United States for his work at Shaibah Hospital as Charge Nurse in the treatment of a group of American soldiers injured in a vehicle on 24 January 2004. During that tour he was in the Surgical and Orthopaedic ward. Serving in Northern Ireland in 2006, he had also served at Hohne and was master of 'Sim Man' a robotic surgical aid for Medical training. He was discharged on 10 February 2009 and also appears to have advised with medical help in television production; sold together with copied Certificate of Service, besides qualification certificates and a quantity of photographs.
