Paul Joseph Jessop enlisted in the Army on 11 June 1986, having served for two years with 289 Volunteer Commando Battery, Royal Artillery. Having already completed the All Arms Commando Course, he joined 29 Commando Regiment and first saw active service in Northern Ireland, earning his G.S.M. on 4 December 1991. His next posting was in North Iraq and South Turkey, qualifying for this scarce clasp on 28 January 1993. Having also undertaken winter training in northern Norway. Seeing further active service in the Former Yugoslavia and Iraq, he earned his L.S. & G.C. on 21 June 2001. Discharged on 21 June 2008, he saw further service in Afghanistan, although the nature of this remains unkown; sold together with named box of issue for the O.S.M., copied Certificate of Service, AFB108 Testimonia
