General Service 1962-2007, 1 clasp, Northern Ireland (24851003 Pte V N Carroll Para), mounted court-style as worn, pin removed, good very fine

V. N. Carroll served with the 2nd Battalion, Parachute Regiment in Northern Ireland and was present during the raid at Seaview Terrace, Holywood, County Down that resulted in the location of a large weapons dump in a house on that street - with Carroll being photographed outside the property. The incident was widespread in the press and Carroll was also featured in the Pegasus Journal standing in a corn field in South Armagh in the June 1993 edition. He was discharged with very good conduct in April 1995; sold together with copied Certificate of Discharge and newspaper cuttings, besides the aforementioned photographs.
