Bhaidal Limbu was born in 1914 and would have enlisted in the 1930s. The 1st Battalion served in the Burma campaign with Limbu being promoted Jemadar in 1946 and Captain (King's Gurkha Officer) in 1949. On transfer to the British Army in 1948, he was posted to the 2nd Battalion due to a shortage of Gurkha officers. Retired 1954 and continued to be shown in the Army List for Retired Officers to 1999.
