British War and Victory Medals (3287 Pte. A. Allan. Worc. Yeo.), Defence Medal 1939-45, in its box of issue addressed to 'Mr. A. Allan. 6 Shrubbery Street, Kidderminster.', with his Silver War Badge numbered 'B305828', good very fine (3)
Archibald Allen was born in Kidderminster in 1895 and enlisted on 22 October 1915. He landed in Egypt in December 1916 and served until 4 September 1918, when he was admitted to hospital with malaria and later influenza. During this period 'A' and two troops of 'C' Squadron took part in the famous charge at Huj on 8 November 1917 - a scene immortalised by Lady Butler.
Sold together with with a good archive of original material comprising:

Pressed card identity tag '325754 A. Allan Wor. Yeo. C.E.'
(ii)
Large honourable disbility discharge certificate, dated 27.7.1919.
(iii)
Egyptian Expeditionary Force Certificate of Discharge, signed by Brigadier-General Robinson, a little worn.
(iv)
Discharge certificate, which notes his service with 3/1st Worcestershire Yeomanry.
(v)
Kidderminster Coronation Medals (5), together with copied MIC and research.
