(x) South Atlantic 1982, with rosette (AB (R) D Bennett D171208T HMS Intrepid), mounted upon original wearing pin, nearly extremely fine

H.M.S. Intrepid - a Fearless-class amphibious warfare vessel - was decommissioned shortly before the Falklands war and had been due to be sold to the Argentine Navy. The ship came under attack in San Carlos Water and was later used to house Argentinian prisoners-of-war. The surrender ending the war was signed on her deck.
