War Medal 1939-45, unnamed as issued, in O.H.M.S. box of issue named to 'Mrs M. Glass, c/o Mrs Pettit, 18a Scotland Street, Edinburgh', with condolence slip to 'Gnr. J. A. Glass.', further hand-annotated '1568180', extremely fine

John Alexander Glass was born in 1914 at Edinburgh, the son of John and Jane G. Glass and husband to Margaret M. Glass of Edinburgh. He served during the Second World War as a Gunner in the 4th Anti-Aircraft Tractor Battery and died on 27 March 1941. He rests in an unmarked grave at Edinburgh (Comely Bank) Cemetery; sold with copied research.
