Territorial Force War Medal 1914-19 (1974 Pte. J. A. Parsons, Glouc. R.), one or two edge bruises and scratches and a little polished, otherwise very fine

Joseph Alfred Parsons enlisted in the 4th Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment (Territorial Force) in Bristol in March 1914, aged 17 years. He subsequently served out in France on three separate occasions, namely from June-October 1917, when he was evacuated to hospital with trench foot, in April 1918, when he was gassed and once more evacuated to the U.K., and finally from November 1918-May 1919, latterly in the Worcestershire Regiment. He was discharged in June of the latter year; sold with copied service record.
