(x) Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Delhi (Jas. Biggs, 1st. Eurn. Bengal Fusrs.), very fine

James Biggs was born around 1832 at Ashton, Wiltshire, and enlisted at Manchester for the 1st Battalion, Bengal European Fusiliers on 4 April 1854. He was severely wounded on 14 September 1857, losing the third and fourth fingers of the right hand, and was subsequently invalided from the service in consequence of being incapable of further military duties; sold with copied research.
