On 29 September 1918 he took part in the advance on the fortified village of Gonnelieu, part of the Hindenburg Line. He is commemorated on Panel 6 of the Vis-en-Artois Memorial, the Soho Mill Memorial, and the Wooburn Common Memorial; sold with copied research and MIC.
