South Atlantic 1982, with rosette upon riband (APO(M) A P Meyer D112055Q HMS Sheffield), nearly extremely fine

A. P. Meyer served aboard H.M.S. Sheffield, a Type 42 destroyer, during the Falklands War. On 4 May 1982, Sheffield was hit by an Exocet missile fired from an Argentine Super Étendard jet, foundering while under tow six days later. Twenty of the crew lost their lives.
