Japanese 2s. international postal stationery card to Iowa bearing a fair strike of the "nanking local post" bilingual dated oval in purple with the undated circular "nankin/local post" cancellation; the card has been cancelled by an indistinct blue c.d.s. and there is an unreadable Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. in red in the lower left corner, also Yokohama (11.1) and San Francisco (6.2) c.d.s.; there is a horizontal fold along the foot of the card. An unusual and intriguing card which was used during the stamp issue period. Photo
